Basically there are three ways of hunting for roe deer in Siberia: sound simulation attraction race, animal feeding places and transition trails. High density of roe deer is observed in Buryatia, Chita and Irkutsk regions. The hunting periods are divided into two stages: sound simulation attraction race from August 25 to September 20 and winter hunting from October 1 to December 31. Sound imitating hunt is the most interesting. The huntsmen choose the place where the males most often appear and begin to beckon the female’s voice in the morning and evening. The instinct of reproduction makes roe deer check the place where the sound came from, and hunters use it. Another approach occurs in the early morning and evening hours in the places of animal feeding. Another way is to be quiet at the roe deer transitions places and wait for the group where the largest males are detected.
