Amur brown bear is represented by numerous species in Khabarovsk Krai of Amur Oblast, the island of Sakhalin and northern parts of Primorskiy Krai. This animal has the most extended skull, that is why it indicates the highest rate of skull length in hunting trophy records. However, the skull is much narrower comparing to its Kamchatka relatives. The most successful hunting seasons take place at the salmon spawning areas during the autumn. Amur brown bear is included to the CITES list. The hunting seasons are from March, 21 to April 30; from August, 1 to November, 30 in Primorye. In Khabarovsk Krai the hunting season is held from March, 21 to June, 10.
